Disney’s 1953 animated adaptation of James M. Barrie’s story remains a spirited piece of fun with some dandy flight scenes and slapstick action. However, only two of the songs are memorable, Tinker Bell remains supremely annoying and the racist depiction (typical for its time) of an Indian tribe is squirm-inducing. Parents should be prepared to chat with the little ones afterwards about the difference between these ugly stereotypes and real Native Americans. 77 minutes.
