One bad date after another
Lauren Lovett will star in the one-woman show Bad Dates at the Indiana Repertory Theatre, which features original music by Carrie Newcomer.
The comedy follows Haley Walker, a divorced mother of a 13-year-old, who finds droll solace in her killer collection of more than 200 pairs of shoes as she plunges into the dating pool after a long hiatus. As she wryly and self-deprecatingly recounts these bad dates, she journeys toward self-discovery and greater honesty while also worrying quite a bit about her wardrobe.
Newcomer’s music includes one original piece written specifically for the show.
The show runs March 16-April 22 on the IRT’s Upperstage. Tickets begin at $34. Call the IRT ticket office at 317-635-5252.
