Nightlife Guide: Best nightlife spots
Monday
Go out to various open mic nights or attempt to “Hunker Down” at Birdy’s Bar & Grill.Tuesday
Check out J. Clyde’s for open turntable night or Nicky Blaine’s to hear the Four Sexes.Wednesday
Look for new and local live music shows at Locals Only, the Melody Inn or Birdy’s Bar & Grill.Thursday
Start off at the Alley Cat for an un-crowded, low-priced, quality steak dinner. Then go downtown to Club Level on the second and fourth Thursday of the month for “Freak Show,” featuring goth/industrial DJ Mister E, who has been in the underground DJ scene for at least 10 years.Friday
Punk Mania is the first Friday of every month at Moe’s Loading Dock.Saturday
I have been at the Melody Inn for Punk Rock Night every Saturday for the last six and a half years. We strive to bring the best of new touring rock and roll in every week. PRN has some great history under its belt, and it is only getting better.Sunday
I cannot resist the Cocoanut Grove lounge night the first Sunday of every month at the Melody Inn. Everyone dresses up in his or her best lounge attire, and it’s a great way to end (or begin) the week. Post a comment|
