• Eddie Vedder not only headlined Lollapalooza with Pearl Jam, but joined Ben Harper on stage on Friday night and The Kings of Leon on Sunday.

• Keith Richards has confirmed, again, that he did indeed snort his father’s ashes.

• Cat Power announced that she is recording another album of covers.

• R. Kelly will finally go to court for the child pornography charges he was charged with several years ago.

• Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are hitting the road together. Luckily, the closest date is a Chicago performance.

• Monday would have been Elliot Smith’s 38th birthday.

• Pattie Boyd, famed wife of George Harrison and then Eric Clapton, has a book, Wonderful Today, coming out this week, detailing her two marriages and her life.

• Robert Plant and Alison Krauss have recorded a bluegrass album together and are expected to tour next spring.

• James Brown was named the father of two more children this past week. There are several other people who claim to be Brown’s offspring.

• Eminem has sued Apple, claiming the company placed songs on iTunes without permission from his publishing company.

• Peter, Bjorn and John have confirmed they will be the backing band for Kanye West’s performance during the Way Out West Music Festival.
