• Band of Horses have confirmed details about their highly-anticipated record, Cease to Begin, which will be released Oct. 9. The full track listing was announced and includes a song titled “Detlef Schrempf.”

• Sigur Ros has confirmed plans to release a DVD, Helma, on Nov. 5. The DVD will contain footage of various concerts.

• Twista has been removed from the McDonald’s parking lot tour over concern about his lyrics. Did they have any idea who he was before they booked him?

• Britney Spears and Kevin Federline’s divorce was finalized Monday with Federline receiving $15,000 per month in child support in addition to the $20,000 per month he is receiving in spousal support.

• Mark Ronson is the only person to have ever received permission to remix a Bob Dylan song. Ronson has posted the remix on his MySpace page.

• Led Zeppelin’s upcoming best-of compilation, Mothership, will be the first Led Zeppelin material available on iTunes.

• Contrary to Internet buzz reports, Jay-Z will stay with Island/Def Jam.

• VHS or Beta’s new album, Bring on the Comets, will be released Aug. 28. This will be their first release since 2004. They recently toured through Indy, headlining NUVO’s first Week of Rock.
