• Verizon has dropped the Gwen Stefani/Akon tour as the official sponsor. The company dropped the sponsorship after multiple incidents of Akon’s dancing “style,” most notable with a minor that happened to be the daughter of a minister of Trinidad. The show on June 2 with Lady Sovereign will still take place in Indianapolis.

• Pete Doherty has been arrested, again! He was picked up in London on a Class A violation (crack, heroin).

• Evanescence’s guitar player was fired, and the drummer has quit. Shouldn’t it just be called Amy Lee’s solo project by now?

• Brandon Flowers, lead singer of the Killers, is expecting his first child.

• New Order has officially broken up. Bass player Peter Hook confirmed it in an interview.

• Natalie Portman stars in Paul McCartney’s new music video, “Dancing Tonight,” for the lead single on his upcoming record.

• Busta Rhymes got charged with a DUI last week. He was driving a $225,000 custom armored vehicle. He told police that he had taken only one shot all night.
