• Rod Stewart got married over the weekend in Italy to longtime girlfriend Penny Lancaster.
• Kelly Clarkson has been going through some rough times. Her label hates her record, the single is doing poorly, she fired her manager and she had to cancel her tour due to poor ticket sales.
• Converse announced plans to release a Ramones-themed pair of Chuck Taylors. The shoes will hit stores in July.
• Rumors are circulating that the Libertines will be reuniting at the Glastonbury Music Festival.
• Ryan Adams will be releasing a box set in the fall. The set will contain four unreleased albums (The Suicide Handbook, 48 Hours, Darkbreaker and Blackhole), plus two discs of unreleased B-sides.
• The Wu Tang Clan are currently in the studio working on a new record, The 8 Diagrams.
• Modest Mouse announced tour dates. There is no Indy date. You’ll have to either go to Lollapalooza or to Columbus, Ohio.
• Common’s new record will be released July 31. Common was also named the face of Converse’s upcoming RED campaign.
• Journey has announced the departure of their recently named lead singer Jeff Scott Soto. n
