• Buck Jones, an up-and-coming country singer, was killed last week when his vehicle was hit by a drunk driver.

• The White Stripes will be visiting Indianapolis on Sept. 9 in support of its upcoming album, Icky Thump.

• The Phil Spector murder trial begins on April 30. It will be aired on television. You won’t want to miss it.

• The Fratellis, a rising band from the U.K., is releasing its new single on USB flash drives.

• The lead singer of the Walkmen, Hamilton Leithhauser, was arrested for drunk and disorderly conduct at SXSW.

• The Arctic Monkeys has announced a slew of tour dates to promote its highly anticipated second record. You’ll have to drive to Chicago to see the band, though, on May 8.

• Minnie Driver’s new album has lots of guest appearances. Liz Phair, Ryan Adams and a few others recorded with her.
