In case you missed the memo, Radio Radio isn’t just for music. First, club owner Tufty opened his Fountain Square club for broadcasts of the World Cup. Now he’s joining forces with the Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art (iMOCA) to present a series of cutting-edge contemporary films from around the world on Thursday nights.

The series opens Sept. 7 with a screening of the French film 8 Women by Francois Ozon. This is an off-the-wall murder mystery seasoned with musical numbers throughout. 8 Women features a virtual who’s who of fabulous French actresses, including Catherine Deneuve, Isabelle Huppert, Virginie Ledoyen and Ludvine Sagnier. Doors open at 7 and the screening starts at 8. Admission is just $3 — you can buy a pass for the whole series of eight films for just $15.

Other films on, ahem, tap are Guy Maddin’s Dracula: Pages From a Virgin’s Diary (Sept. 21), The Taste of Tea by Katsuhito Ishii (Oct. 5), The Happiness of the Katakuris by Takashi Miike (Oct. 19) and The Hole by Tsai Ming-liang (Nov. 2). Radio Radio is at 1119 Prospect St. You must be 21 to enter. For more information, go to www.indymoca.org.
