I appreciated your article on pollution in Indy, but felt depressed by the limited ideas to improve the situation (Cover, “Toxic City,” June 27-July 4). We lived in Minnesota for a while, and up there they have free curbside recycling but you pay for trash removal. This gives everyone incentive to recycle, something that Indy seemingly could implement easily with the help of the mayor. It also seems like NUVO and other news outlets could be more vocal in calling for local and statewide limits on power plant output. Keep working on more ideas.
