The Human Abstract, It Dies Today, End Well, Sick City
Emerson Theater
Wednesday, April 25, 7:30 p.m., $10/$12, all-ages

Metalcore band It Dies Today will rock the Emerson Theater tonight, bringing its brutal riffs, combination of harsh and clean vocals and driving melodies to an all-ages crowd of metal and hard rock enthusiasts.

The band formed in 2001, after growing up in the Buffalo, N.Y., hardcore scene. Its debut album, The Caitiff Choir, garnered attention from critics and fans alike — the band sold out two national headlining tours soon after its album release. IDT’s much-anticipated sophomore album, Sirens, hit stores last October, but the band has changed its lineup since the album’s release, bringing in Jason Wood in January to replace founding member Nick Brooks on vocals.

Also on the bill is metal outfit the Human Abstract, fresh from touring in support of Mushroomhead. Its full-length debut, Nocturne, garnered it a spot in Alternative Press’ “100 Bands You Need to Know 2007” and a more diverse fanbase, including emo and punk rock lovers. The band will also play this summer’s Vans Warped Tour.

Other supporting acts include Victory Records’ screamo group Endwell and Canadian band Sick City, whose anthemic vocals laid over a melodic, pop-punk sound recently got it contracts with two record labels.
