Three stars

Mental Afro is good fun in the form of funk, rock and rap. However, the two borrowed tracks, “Get Your Comb” and “2 Sexy,” probably should have just been left alone in their original forms — “Come and Get Your Love” and “I’m Too Sexy.” But, to their credit, the band seems to have plenty of original tunes that make for a cool blend of genres.

Sounds like: Parliament, N.E.R.D.
