Jer Gregg of the famed Indiana rock ensemble that performed in the finals of the 2006 Battle of Birdy’s will host his goodbye concert Thursday, Nov. 8, with Xero Sum, Bluf and Noah East at Rock Lobster. Admission for ages 21+ is $5. That’s right, Gregg is moving to Nashville.

• Birdy’s Bar & Grill will feature its carnival/pop showcase by Full Blown Productions on Saturday, Nov. 10, with Everthus the Deadbeats, Exit Clov (Washington, D.C.), Lord of the YUM YUM (Chicago), CABIN (Louisville) and Le Concorde (Chicago) at 9 p.m. for ages 21+.

• A crooner along the lines of Bonnie Raitt, Becky Chace has been named Best Local Female Vocalist five out of six years in a row by the Providence Phoenix Best Music Poll. She graces the Center Stage Café at 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 12, for an all-ages show.
