Historic Landmarks Foundation offers a programming banquet for fans of modern architecture, all part of their programming for Historic Preservation Month. First, there’s a free talk by Will Miller about the extraordinary relationship that developed between his parents, Irwin and Xenia, and architect Eero Saarinen, “Eero, Irwin and Xenia: The Design of Two Houses,” at Christian Theological Seminary’s Shelton Auditorium May 29 at 5:30 p.m. Saarinen, who designed the St. Louis Arch and iconic furniture, designed the Millers’ home in Columbus, Ind., and their summer cottage in Ontario, Canada. The talk is free.

Then, May 31, Historic Landmarks offers “Back to the Future: Mid-Century Modern Home Tour,” a showcase of five Modernist homes in Northside Indianapolis. The tour runs from 1-6 p.m. and costs $15 ($12 in advance). Call 317-639-4534 for ticket sale locations, which include Form + Function, 10 National Bank of Indianapolis branches and selected Kroger stores.
