Kimmelman at Butler
by Editors Oct 4, 2006

Michael Kimmelman, the chief art critic of the New York Times, will speak about what he calls “The Accidental Masterpiece” at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 5 at Butler University’s Atherton Union Reilly Room. Kimmelman’s title refers to his idea that the same attentiveness we bring to art can help make a daily masterpiece of our regular lives. Surely the fact that the Reilly Room is across the way from a Starbuck’s is just a coincidence, not a variation on Kimmelman’s theme. Admission is free and wine and cheese will be served following the event. Call 317-940-9656 for more information. Butler University is located at 4600 Sunset Ave.
