IndyFringe singles bash
by Editors Feb 6, 2008

Dateless by Design is a singles party idea that’s caught on in London and Sydney and is now touching down in Indy. It’s a benefit for IndyFringe, the city’s annual Fringe Festival, at the Rathskeller on Massachusetts Avenue. The event takes place Feb. 8, 7:30-11 p.m. Tickets are $30 (advance) or $35 (door) and get you an appetizer buffet, a complimentary drink, live music, DJ, dancing, door prizes, Tarot card readings, body art and all the socializing you can handle. Tickets are available via PayPal at www.indyfringe.org. Questions: call 317-223-6035.

A girlfriend and I spent the $30 to go to this and it was lame! They stated it would be an "Upscale appetizer buffet", dancing and a live D.J. I guess I didn't realize that tortilla chips with cheese sauce and a soft pretzel was considered upscale! Also there was not a D.J. and then you couldn't even dance to the music that they did provide. Not to mention the cheesy heart decorations everywhere...I felt like I was at a middle school dance...maybe even worse than that!
