Indy's most identifiable asset
by Letter to the Editor Oct 10, 2007

You make an excellent point right up until you mention the fact that you went home and watched the game (Hammer, “Buyer’s Remorse,” Oct. 3-10). If I'm not mistaken, the stadium is financed by extra food and bev taxes (at least that is what they tell us), which is an elective tax. And the NFL and its teams make the majority of their money (and power) off of TV deals, which become more and more lucrative because of ratings, which you contributed to!

Another question; how often do you and your wife get a hotel downtown? So that is money coming from outside the county and state.

So another great job of putting down, for better or worse, Indy's single most identifiable asset to the rest of the country.
