Indiana State Fair Music

The musical entertainment schedule kicks off with award-winning Christian artists Casting Crowns and Jeremy Camp at the Indiana State Fair Grandstand on Thursday, Aug. 9 at 7:30 p.m. Rascal Flatts, one of country music’s hottest acts, will perform at the Grandstand on Friday, Aug. 10. Opening act Jason Aldean is scheduled to take the stage at 7:30 p.m.

The Jonas Brothers will perform on Monday, Aug. 13 “Kids Day” at the fair. This concert, free with a voucher, is presented by VOICE.TV and scheduled to start at 7 p.m.

Country music legends Kenny Rogers and the Oak Ridge Boys will be in concert at the Grandstand on Tuesday, Aug. 14 at 7:30 p.m. 1970s teen idol David Cassidy will perform a free concert at the Grandstand on Wednesday, Aug. 15 at 7:30 p.m. The “2007 Finalists from American Idol Tour” will make a stop at the Grandstand on Thursday, Aug. 16 at 7:30 p.m. Among the “Idols” scheduled to appear are Blake Lewis, Gina Glocksen, Melinda Doolittle and Sanjaya Malakar. “Screamfest ’07,” an evening of R&B/hip-hop, is set for Aug. 17 at 7 p.m. Among the acts scheduled to take part in the show are T.I., Ciara, T-Pain, Lloyd and Yung Joc.

The WFMS Free Stage will feature some of country music’s rising stars, including Craig Morgan, Trent Tomlinson, Bucky Covington, Eric Church and Joe Nichols. The Contemporary Christian Music Day is scheduled for Sunday Aug. 12, 5-10 p.m. at the Free Stage.
