Although the album stays too close to the middle, Kramus, from Connersville, Ind., has the chops to go far. “Reborn July” has a cool, slow groove of quiet verses and loud, distorted choruses with a lazy blues solo in the mix.

Sounds like: Fresher than Chevelle and Staind
