I heart my 'hood: Indy's great neighborhoods
by Editors Mar 21, 2007
Welcome to our first guide to neighborhoods. You'll first encounter Tom Alvarez's survey of downtown neighborhoods. If it had been up to Tom, he would have taken twice as much space so he could include neighborhoods like Windsor Park and Holy Cross, but we told him he could get to those in our next installment. Lori Lovely stretched out across the city and beyond for her "10 Great Neighborhoods" feature, and we know there are plenty more to look at in future editions.
You helped, too. We asked for your neighborhood testimonials and you delivered. Some we include in the individual features near the end of this product. We know you'll want to contribute more ideas, so please do so at ilovemyhood@nuvo.net.

LOOKING FOR A HOOD!
by BRIAN | Mar 28, 2007
I like the article on I Love My 'Hood. I do wish however that this article was out the being of the year. I am in the process of looking for a neighborhood in the city and the feedback I got from friends and coworkers was not that great. Several people stated I need to move in the sub, which was not an option for me. I love the city life and crime can happen no matter were u live. Fall Creek was my first choice but the cost was over my limit at the time in the high 250k and up. The next area was Irvington but the taxes are high. I decided to go with Martindale on the Monon. Martindale is in the city and walking distants to Downtown with two parks in the area (The MLK and Dr Andrew J Brown parks)It is located between Fall Creek, Old Northside and Herron-Morton. I wish that on the next article Martindale On The Monon will be included.

Nuvo left something out...
by Annette | Mar 21, 2007
Right there on page six of the guide, where the 'legend' box is, listing 1-10 downtown neighborhoods... that's where Martindale On The Monon and Martindale-Brightwood ARE.
And, as for having Realtors (i.e., Kurt & Kate Flock) interviewed and pictured, in the guide, that just turned the guide into a shoddy advertising piece.
