I Do

The renovated Paul Fashion Arts and Paul Textile Arts Galleries at the Indianapolis Museum of Art will open with I Do — The Marriage of Fashion and Art, an exhibition of wedding attire, June 11. Fifteen Western wedding gowns will be displayed in the Paul Fashion Arts Gallery and 30 wedding garments from Asia and Africa will be shown in the Paul Textile Arts Gallery.

IMA events related to the exhibit include a fashion show during the opening June 11 at 3 p.m., which will feature customs and traditions of Indian weddings; Dinner & a Movie June 9, showing The Wedding Planner; a Girls Night Out June 22, featuring a tour of I Do and wedding foods and champagne; a lecture on Western wedding traditions, “Something Old, Something New,” June 29; and a concert of wedding music by the Scott Chamber Players June 18.

Admission to the IMA, 4000 Michigan Road, is $7 with combo, student and senior discounts. Thursdays, admission is free. Hours on Sunday are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. More info: 317-923-1331, www.ima-art.org.
