The Second Biennial Iron Casting Symposium at the Indianapolis Art Center will bring some of the nation’s top sculptors using iron together for what amounts to a festival of iron workshops and techniques. The public is invited to watch the spectacle of sculptures being created with hot iron. The pieces produced at this symposium will be exhibited in the IAC’s ARTSPARK. The public can also sign up for a variety of workshops concerning iron casting or attend a free panel discussion Oct. 9 at 8 p.m. and free presentations throughout the morning Oct. 11 from 8 a.m.-noon. For registration information and workshop fees, go to www.IndplsArtCenter.org and click on the Symposium logo. The IAC is located at 820 E. 67th St.
