Epilogue Players;
directed by Rich Baker
Director Rich Baker wrote this 80-minute tribute to movie songs as a free show for season ticket holders ($10 for non-patrons). Dare I remind you that you get what you pay for? Eleven familiar and new-to-me Epilogue players dress in a fetching assortment of zingy cocktail dresses, bow ties and tails and the occasional tap shoe to take us from “The Jazz Singer” to “The Way We Were.” That’s 40 songs’ worth of movie adoration and not enough crooning talent to make your attendance more than a show of support for a community troupe that can do better. Through Jan. 20; 317-295-1961.
