Haute Chocolate
by Jennifer Litz Jan 23, 2008

Petite Chou, the smaller version of Café Patachou in Broad Ripple, just debuted a chocolate-centric menu that will run through March (or longer, depending on demand). “It’s like an English high tea in ceremony and indulgence, but this service is entirely in chocolate flavors,” says Café Patachou brand manager Christina Pippen.

Setups are certainly proper. The rich, bittersweet chocolate drink deemed “Angelina” is served on a small silver tray with two silver pitchers for more of the treat; another bowl even holds an extra serving of whipped cream. Drinks can be paired with the pretty desserts on the menu, including a flakey profiterole with rich chocolate gelato, or individual cake tortes of chocolate truffle mousse or white chocolate and hazelnut, the latter with a beautiful — and tasty — hazelnut ribbon wrapped around the bottom of the white treat.
