Storytelling Arts of Indiana presents In the Spirit telling Spirit Journey: Stories of Triumph and Survival Feb. 10, 8-10 p.m. at the Indiana History Center, 450 W. Ohio St. In the Spirit combines the talents of Glenda Zahra Baker and Emily Hooper Lansana, who are known for drawing listeners into their seamless blend of vocals and narrative. Together, Baker, an acclaimed musician, and Lansana, a premier storyteller, have conceived a unique harmonic and uplifting performance style that reflects ancient African and contemporary African-American forms. Tickets may be purchased in advance for $15 by calling 317-232-1882. Tickets may also be purchased for $18 at the door.
