Furtal, Leppard … and Christmas
by Editors Dec 5, 2007

Since graduating from IU’s school of music, Elizabeth Furtal has made a name for herself as one of the top coloratura sopranos in the world. Dec. 8, she comes back to Indiana to perform with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and legendary conductor laureate Raymond Leppard in the ISO’s annual Classical Christmas concert at the Scottish Rite Cathedral Ballroom downtown. Joining in the performance will be ISO principal trumpet Marvin Perry II as soloist and the chamber chorus Apollo’s Voice. The concert begins at 8 p.m. and tickets are $60; call 317-639-4300 or go online to www.IndianapolisSymphony.org.
