Evelyn Masters is the creation of Indianapolis artist Audrey Patten, whose work has been featured in Stretching Canvas, a national low brow/pop surrealist art magazine. Patten’s drawings, prints and installation at Big Car are based on Evelyn Masters. The Trials and Tribulations of Evelyn Masters opens Feb. 1 with a reception from 6 p.m.-1 a.m. in Suite 215 of the Murphy Arts Center, 1043 Virginia Ave.
And while you’re at the MAC, check out ALCHEMY art + aesthetics downstairs for Relativ[isms], a show of recent work and an installation by printmakers Donald Adams, Nick Allman and Ken Nurenberg. The reception runs from 7 p.m.-midnight.
