Eureka: Season 2

3 stars (NR)

If you've missed this Sci-Fi channel original series (about to begin a new season), you're in for a treat. Eureka is a village where most of the inhabitants are gifted scientists. A town full of geniuses — pretty cool idea, and the execution isn't bad at all, mixing comedy and drama in a generally smooth fashion. Colin Ferguson stars as a likable non-genius police officer who gets roped into being sheriff of the whacked-out town where the seemingly impossible happens on a regular basis. He lives with his daughter in a self-aware house, too. Like I said, pretty cool. 540 minutes. DVD INFO: includes deleted scenes, a making-of featurette, Webcasts, podcast commentary and a writer's feature.
