Eickhoff’s ‘Ashes’
by Editors Oct 4, 2006
Ashes From the Cradle is painter Matthew Eickhoff’s latest one-man show, opening Oct. 6 from 6-10 p.m. in the Murphy Art Center next door to Galerie Penumbra. The exhibition consists of a series of 15 paintings that Eickhoff calls a “cinematic novella.” He says they fall somewhere between movie stills and Vermeer interiors. The Murphy Art center is located in Fountain Square, at 1043 Virginia Ave. The show will be on display through the month of October by appointment (317-955-7577) or by chance.
