Eddy "The Chief" Clearwater - West Side Strut

Four stars

“The Chief” keeps finding new ways to punch up his Chicago blues, this time finding new energy in bluesman and producer Ronnie Baker Brooks. Production by Brooks and performances by Clearwater make for a blues vitamin B-12 shot. “A Good Leavin’ Alone,” “Trouble, Trouble” and “They Call Me the Chief” are evidence that something old and something new are all good in the blues world.

Sounds like: Muddy Waters and Chuck Berry with a rockin’ blues kick
