ComedySportz 15th Anniversary Celebration
by Andrew Roberts Feb 20, 2008

Two and a half stars
Feb. 14-16

ComedySportz celebrated its 15th year as Indy’s only professional improvisational comedy troupe with prize give-aways, throwback improv games and a routine weekend of family fun. Saturday, many of the “actletes” (performers) were forced into an unconquerable lack of direction based on lackluster audience suggestion for scenes/themes/situations, but the show was enjoyable despite its pacing — which was often disrupted by announcements, “rule” enforcement and detailed explanations of each game’s intricacies. A ComedySportz show is great and unique fun for a family, or any adult who has not had their comedic lust tainted by the dick and fart jokes of pop culture, but the “G” rating that the demographic demands closes doors (while opening some others) for the very talented comedians. Meanwhile, the perverts and drinking crowd get left behind, lusting to see these very talented comedians in all their naked hilarity. 317-951-8499, www.comedysportzindy.com.
