Cloverfield
Two and a half stars (PG-13)
The Blair Witch Project meets Godzilla in this tale of a monster attacking Manhattan, as seen from the portable video recorders of some of the people right in the middle of the creature’s path. The film holds your attention for it’s brief 73 minute running time (padded to 85 minutes with the closing credits) and there are some exciting moments, but after it was over, my primary reaction was, “Eh.” 85 minutes. DVD INFO: Includes deleted scenes, alternate endings (minor variations, really), outtakes, a commentary track and three featurettes.
