A favorite of the Storytelling Arts of Indiana series, Celtic harpist Patrick Ball will return to Indy Dec. 2, performing his work The Christmas Rose, which features such tales as “A Child’s Christmas in Wales,” with chapters from The Wind in the Willows. The program will also include passages from Shakespeare, William Butler Yeats and Thomas Hardy, all set to familiar seasonal melodies on Ball’s amazing harp.
Ball is considered one of the premier Celtic harpers and storytellers in the world today. He has recorded nine instrumental and three spoken word albums, which have sold well over a half million copies collectively.
The event begins at 8 p.m. at the Indiana History Center, 450 W. Ohio St. Tickets are $18 through the Indiana Historical Society at 317-232-1882 or tickets may also be purchased for $21 at the door.
