Bathroom humor at best
Agave, the young professionals auxiliary of the Eiteljorg Museum, will host an outdoor movie night July 3 as part of the museum’s Harlem Goes West exhibition. They will present a screening of Mel Brooks’ 1974 Western send-up, Blazing Saddles. The movie stars Gene Wilder and Cleavon Little, with a particularly memorable walk-on by Alex Karras. This is Brooks at his over-the-top, bathroom humor best.
Guests can tour Harlem Goes West and Yosemite: Art of an American Icon from 8:30-9:30 p.m., then enjoy the movie. Advance admission is $10; $12 at the door. Admission is free for Agave members and those who sign up for a $30 annual Agave membership. This event is for adults 21 and older. To purchase advance tickets, contact Cally Klaubo at 317-275-1310 or cklaubo@eiteljorg.com.
