The Indianapolis Theatre Fringe Festival is searching for Buskers to play a major role in energizing the Mass. Ave. Arts & Cultural District during the 10-day IndyFringe Theatre Festival Aug. 25 to Sept. 3, 2006.

Busking is the art of street performing or street theater. Busking is a way of bringing entertainment directly to people and can take the form of a musician playing in the open air, tap dancers hoofing on a sidewalk or artists who create temporary chalk art on the pavement. No two performances are ever identical — spontaneity and improvisation take precedence over perfection.
