Great Ideas Competition Finalist Images
Last year, the Indianapolis Cultural Development Commission and the Arts Council of Indianapolis challenged Indiana artists to propose great ideas for public art projects in Indianapolis. Total funding for Great Ideas is $105,000. In November 2004, 10 artists were chosen as finalists. The finalists all live and work in the state of Indiana and were paid $1,000 to create public art project proposals for Marion County.
The images here represent these proposals. The project proposals will be on display in the Artsgarden at Circle Centre Mall for two weeks, ending Jan. 30. The public is invited to check the proposals out and to make comments. One, or possibly more, of the proposals will be selected and installed by the end of summer 2005. To make comments, e-mail publicart@indyarts.org.
