Duping their constituents. After walking out of the Statehouse over the issue of gay marriage before last fall’s election, Indiana’s Republicans have decided the issue is unimportant in this non-election year. If only people would realize they’ve been manipulated by this wedge issue that no Republican politician really wants resolved.
Colts fail again. At a time when Jim Irsay is asking the city to give him a stadium his team gave little fight against New England. Is this the making of another Curse of the Bambino? Remember, the Colts first abandoned Babe Ruth’s hometown of Baltimore in search of a better stadium deal.
Pass “GO.” the Cultural Development Commission and the Arts Council have renewed the Fast-Track Funding program. $100,000 is available to organizations and individuals in grants up to $5,000 for arts projects. To learn more, go to: www.culturalindy.org or www.indyarts.org.
