Halloween festival

Entertainment will be provided by Paul Mathew Lauck Band, the Murat Hillbilly Band and the Tech High School Music Groups. The Irvington Library will present Silly Safaris animal show at noon.
Plus, check out the homes that have been decked out for the House Decorating Contest and Window Painting Contest. Washington Street merchants will allow guests to paint Halloween-themed art on their windows.
At Ellenberger Park activities will include pumpkin decorating and carving and a Pumpkin Pie Eating Contest, which will begin at noon.
Other activities will include children’s entertainment, Harry Potter trivia contests, bingo and more.
Also part of the celebration is the Haunted Irvington Tour. Members of the Ghost Trackers will lead walking tours of the neighborhood, highlighting different homes and sights of reported ghost sightings and stories. A booklet chock full of information will be given to each participant. Tours are at 5, 7 and 10 p.m. and cost $12.50. Reservations are requested; call 351-1939.
