Lemon Anderson will perform twice as part of the Etheridge Knight Festival of the Arts.
Lemon Andersen, an original cast member and writer of Def Poetry Jam on Broadway, will open the fall season of the 13th annual Etheridge Knight Festival of the Arts. He will conduct a performance, reading and booksigning Friday, Sept. 24, 8 p.m. at the Indiana Historical Society and Saturday, Sept. 25, 7 p.m. at the Indianapolis Artsgarden.
Andersen is the author of Ready Made Real. Known as a New York City-bred “street poet,” he has traveled the spoken word and theater scene for the last eight years.
Admission is limited to those 18 and over. Tickets are $8 in advance, or $10 at the door. Call 624-2563 or go to www.indyarts.org.
