There is something artsy for everyone at Penrod, whether you prefer photography, sculpture, glass, fabrics, metals, woodworking or painting. Browsing vendor’s tents at such a huge event (26 acres) can be a daunting, albeit enjoyable task, which is why eateries such as Bazbeaux, Brother Junipers, Hubbard and Cravens and pubs such as the Broad Ripple Brew Pub will be on hand to provide good food energy and quench your thirst.

Six stages will provide entertainment by Dance Kaleidoscope, Ballet Internationale, the Carmel Symphony and the Indianapolis Children’s Choir. The Gordon Bonham Blues Band, Tad Robinson, Jennie DeVoe, Ann McWilliams, Dog Talk and The Pieces will also be performing.

And to make the whole shebang even better, parking is free and so is the shuttle. Shuttle services are available from Clowes Hall, Hinkle Fieldhouse, Crown Hill and the Major Taylor Velodrome. Why not ride your bike to Penrod? Just follow the Central Canal Towpath to the red bridge at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. You can park your bike and enter the fair right there.

Admission is $15 at the gate. Purchase your tickets in advance at any Marsh or National Bank of Indianapolis, the Artsgarden or the Indianapolis Museum of Art and save $3.
