Baseball

To the ballgame that is. Hey, it’s August, it’s beautiful (right now at least), and we can think of few things better than going to an Indianapolis Indians baseball game. Fortunately for Indy, if you don’t already know, we have a gorgeous stadium with great downtown views (Victory Field), and the games are fun, relaxed and inexpensive. This week’s schedule for the Indianapolis Indians: Aug. 15-20, all home games. Which one to pick? Here’s the line-up: Sunday, 8/15, Indians vs. Norfolk Tides; Monday, 8/16, Indians vs. Norfolk Tides; Tuesday, 8/17, Indians vs. Richmond Braves; Wednesday, 8/18, Indians vs. Richmond Braves; Thursday, 8/19, Indians vs. Louisville Bats and Friday, 8/20, Indians vs. Louisville Bats. Prices range from $12 (for dandy box seating) to zero (kids in the bleachers and lawn). Speaking of the lawn: That’s our preferred place. You can spread your blanket or unfold your chairs and hang out in the WAY outfield and enjoy the game, the weather and each other. Info: Victory Field is located at the corner of West and Maryland Streets. For info and tickets: 269-3545 or indyindians.com.
