The Second Annual Indianapolis Art Festival will be held Saturday-Sunday, June 5-6, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the 8500 block of Keystone Crossing, directly south of the Fashion Mall on the opposite side of 82nd Street. Works by some of the nation’s finest artisans will be included in the over 150 artists who will set up shop. A variety of mediums will be represented, and there will be food and international music available. The festival is a benefit for the Children’s Bureau, Inc., a not-for-profit human services agency, which will hold an exclusive preview party Friday, June 4 from 6-8 p.m. Tickets are $40. The Fourth Annual 54th and Monon Art Fair will be held Saturday, June 5, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in the parking lots of the 54th and the Monon Shops, at 1134 E. 54th St. Over 60 local artists will be featured, in various mediums. Also, there will be antiques, flowers and food for sale. Free hotdogs, popcorn, lemonade, face painting and balloons will be offered to art fest-goers. Admission to the festival is free. The biggest yard sale in Indianapolis, the 29th Annual Woodruff Place Flea Market, will be held June 5-6, Saturday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Who knows what great finds lurk in the 200-plus stalls set up in the Woodruff Place neighborhood? Antiques, art, miscellaneous … it’s all there, as well as food and music. Buy from residents displaying official flea market signs; partial proceeds from their sales will be used for restoration of fountains, urns and statuary of Woodruff Place. Admission is free.
