Located in one of Cincinnati’s most historic houses, the Taft Museum of Art has just reopened after undergoing a major renovation and expansion. Permanent collection galleries have been refurbished with historically inspired wall colors, draperies and carpeting that trace the evolution of American interior design between 1820 and 1920.

A new special exhibitions gallery triples the size of their previous exhibition space. Now on view at the Taft: To Observe and Imagine: British Drawings and Watercolors, 1600-1900. The exhibition consists of 101 drawings and watercolors from the Morgan Library in New York City. Artists include Henry Fuseli, William Blake, Joseph Mallord William Turner, John Constable, Dante Gabriel Rossetti and John Ruskin.

Admission to the Taft is $7 for adults. Museum hours are 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday; 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday; noon-5 on Sunday; and 11 a.m.-8 p.m. on Thursdays. For more information call 513-241-0343, www.taftmuseum.org.
