DK sees changes

And, André Megerdichian (a recipient of a Creative Renewal Grant from the Indianapolis Arts Council this year) and Lisa Long will retire from the company after seven and eight years with DK, respectively.
The concert, Seasons, is a revival of a 1993 full-length modern ballet that uses the cycle of Nature as an allegory for a man’s life. The concert features Kenoth Shane Patton as Everyman and the return of Ricardo Melendez, former DK dancer and current artistic director of Ballet de San Juan, to a role that was originally choreographed on him. Conceived and choreographed by artistic director David Hochoy, the audience is led through a seasonal journey featuring the music of Debussy, The Beatles, Astor Piazzola and Arvo Part.
Performances are Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $26-$30. Call 923-4597 for tickets. For more information about DK, call 940-6555, www.dancekal.org.
