Cirque Eloize was formed in 1993 and since then has performed more than 1,500 times to over 2 million spectators worldwide. Is it Cirque de Soleil? Not really; it’s more like Cirque de Soleil — Unplugged. Nomade promises to be an intimate production, not a high tech spectacular. But do plan on having to hold your breath from time to time.

Nomade will be performed March 19-20, 8 p.m. at Clowes Memorial Hall on the campus of Butler University. Pre-performance music in the lobby will be provided by Stacia Demos of Middletown fame.

On Friday, Larry Attaway, director of the Jordan College Academy of Dance, will hold a talk at 7:15 p.m. in the Krannert Room of Clowes.
