Bennett at One-Liners

You know that ball at the Children’s Museum? You’d touch it and it would make all your hair stick out. That’s Ross Bennett’s hair. Every day.
Ross Bennett — with his hair — preforms March 10 - 14 at One-Liners in Greenwood.
Ross Bennett does stand-up comedy. His hair just stands up, like a relic from a ’70s time capsule. I swear if he shakes it hard enough, Horseshack will fall out. It’s hard to imagine that at one point, West Point even, his hair might have known some more discipline. “I dropped out of West Point in 1977, in the middle of my second year, to be a comedian,” Bennett recounts on his Web site. “To my father it was like dropping out of the human race to be a cloud.” Bennett whisks a bit of improv in with his structured bits, covering topics from Walmart to Walgreens to water skiing with a dash of Bob Barker and The Price is Right thrown in for kicks. Lots of shopping, a smidgen of water sports. Bennett is performing at One-Liners, 50 Airport Parkway East, Greenwood, March 10-14. The show is rated soft R for mild profanity and possible blue material. Appearing with Bennett are native Naptowner Troy Davis and Ron Sexton. Tickets are $10 and $11. For reservations, show times or more information, call 889-5233.
