Bluegrass weekend

Columbus’ annual Bluegrass Music Festival will be held at The Commons in downtown Columbus, Ind., March 13-14.
 
-Amanda, of the Kenny and Amanda Smith Band, which will perform at the Bluegrass Music Festival in Columbus Saturday; 812-376-2539.-

The festival begins Saturday at 9 a.m. with music workshops and demonstrations by area musicians. All-day admission tickets for Saturday ($7) include the workshops ($5-$10 individually), as well as performances by Here and Gone, Hog Operation, Troubled Waters and feature performers Kenny and Amanda Smith at 7 p.m. ($5 individual tickets). Performances Sunday are free. At noon, the Columbus Clogging Company takes the stage, followed by Runnin’ Tyme, the Banister Family and Special Consensus.
