A picnic refuge
by Editors Jun 20, 2007

World Refugee Day will be celebrated June 24 with a picnic in Broad Ripple Park from 4-8 p.m. Traditional dance, speakers from varied refugee communities in Indianapolis and international food will highlight this event. ArtVan will provide children’s activities and Silly Safari will educate and entertain children with its array of trained animals. World Refugee Day is sponsored by Exodus Refugee Immigration, an Indianapolis nonprofit agency that provides services to newly arrived refugees. For info: www.exodusrefugee.org.
