A Curious City

Ad agency Young & Laramore created the Curious City concept as a way of attracting young professionals who were contemplating a possible move to Indianapolis. TheCuriousCity.com documents Indianapolis places that help to build this city’s distinctive sense of place. Sept. 7, the Curious City concept goes several steps further with the Curious City art exhibition at the Harrison Center for the Arts, 1505 N. Delaware St.

The show will explore themes of reclamation and revitalization around Indianapolis. The Local Initiatives Support Corporation, which has supported the transformation of many areas around town and counts among its board members former U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Robert E. Rubin, is one of the show’s sponsors. Featured artists in the show are Kipp Normand, Penelope Dullaghan, Kyle Ragsdale and David Finnegan. Artist reception and open studio night take place from 6-10. The work hangs through Sept. 29.
