A Christmas Carol
by Lisa Gauthier Nov 28, 2007

Four stars

Indiana Repertory Theatre; directed by Priscilla Lindsay

While the show is now a tried and true holiday tradition, it is still one of the most elegant reproductions of the classic, with Tom Haas’ unique and lyrical adaptation and the snow-filled stage. Regular Carol-goers will notice many of the same faces, but in roles other than the ones we are accustomed to seeing them in. Charles Goad, however, is still in the lead as Ebenezer, and you will see him, along with Robert K. Johansen, throwing in a little more humor than in the past. These are nice yet subtle touches that help to keep the regulars interested without losing the charm that makes this production special. Through Dec. 24; 317-635-5252.

I can affirm that the exhibition offers much to savor, in addition to a gift shop the likes of which you’ve never tasted. It offers history and lore...
